Linux System Administrator – VMware & Enterprise Environments

We’re looking for a Linux System Administrator to join our IT Operations team and play a key role in running and securing our business-critical systems.

What you’ll do
As part of our IT team, you will:
- Deploy and configure virtual machines in VMware environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, SUSE).
- Set up and manage core system services: web servers, mail servers, databases, and more.
- Configure storage, partitions, filesystems, and LVM.
- Manage users, groups, permissions, sudo policies, and authentication (LDAP, Kerberos, AD integration).
- Monitor and troubleshoot system health, performance, and connectivity.
- Apply security hardening, OS patches, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage Proxy gateways, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NFS/Samba.
- Install and configure Antivirus, SIEM, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Automate tasks with shell scripting and optimize kernel/application performance.
- Work closely with the Networking and Security teams to keep infrastructure reliable and secure.
What we’re looking for
- At least 3+ years of solid experience in Linux administration (advanced) and familiarity with Windows Server.
- Hands-on knowledge of VMware virtualization and enterprise server infrastructures.
- Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP) and services (DNS, DHCP, NFS, NTP).
- Experience with authentication systems (LDAP, Active Directory, Azure Entra ID).
- Familiarity with anti-spam and proxy/web security solutions.
- Knowledge of endpoint management platforms (e.g., ManageEngine).
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Shell).
- Problem-solving mindset, teamwork, and attention to detail.
